Enjoy a Sunday excursion to the beautiful island of Dvergsøya aboard the historic MB Høllen. During the trip, you’ll learn about the island’s intriguing history, including tales of witches and grand summer homes. Guide Pål Karsten Kristensen will lead the tour, taking you to Vogt’s villa and the ruins of Jebsen’s villa while sharing insights into the island’s past.
Vogt’s villa, once a summer retreat for the royal family, is beautifully located at the southern tip of Dvergsøya. Today, it is open to the public and managed by Bragdøya Kystlag. You will have the chance to learn more about its heritage and significance. The tour also includes the story of Maren, known as the island’s witch.
The trip takes place aboard MB Høllen, a historic boat built in 1967. Over the years, it has served as a passenger ferry, icebreaker, and cargo transporter in the archipelago. Now protected by the Norwegian Directorate for Cultural Heritage, the boat is operated by Bragdøya Kystlag. Enjoy a scenic journey through the stunning coastal landscape on your way to Dvergsøya. Feel free to bring a packed lunch for a pleasant break in beautiful surroundings.
