At the very edge of the sea on the island of Dønna lies Sjokoladebrygga – a unique sensory destination. Here, in the raw and beautiful landscape between ocean and sky, awaits a chocolate experience unlike any other in Norway.
The Story, the Flavor – and the Person Behind It All
Behind Sjokoladebrygga is Heidi – a true Helgeland native with a passion for flavor, quality ingredients, and nature. In her small chocolate workshop, she welcomes you with warmth and enthusiasm, sharing her personal journey: from idea to jetty, from cacao bean to finished chocolate. All inspired by the landscape of Helgeland.
A Cup of Chocolate – and a Memorable Encounter
The experience begins with an exclusive cup of hot chocolate, served as Heidi tells the story behind her chocolate – and why Helgeland is the perfect place to create it. Afterward, Sjokoladebrygga opens its doors to other guests: you can buy handmade chocolate, enjoy a freshly made "tractor waffle" from the menu, or simply relax and take in the surroundings.
Raw, Organic, and Vegan – Chocolate with a Conscience
The chocolate is made with organic ingredients, completely dairy-free, and sweetened with natural ingredients with a low glycemic index. It’s crafted at low temperatures to preserve its nutrients – a true raw food chocolate that’s good for both body and planet.
Welcome to the Warmth
Sjokoladebrygga is open every day during the summer season and welcomes groups by appointment throughout the rest of the year. A visit here is perfect for anyone looking to experience genuine craftsmanship, peace, and world-class flavor – right on the edge of the sea along the Helgeland coast.
The ceremony is offered from June 23 to August 10, excluding Sundays.
