Depart from Tromsø and travel by bus through Arctic landscapes to Camp Tamok, where you’ll don winter gear and go on a guided snowmobile ride through valleys, frozen lakes, and snow‑covered terrain. Midway you swap driver and passenger roles, then return to camp for a warm meal before heading back.
Begin your Arctic experience with a scenic 90-minute bus ride from Tromsø to Camp Tamok. Once at the camp, you'll be provided with warm winter clothing and receive a full safety briefing before heading out on snowmobiles. Riding in pairs, you’ll explore a remote network of snow-covered trails through open valleys and hillsides, surrounded by dramatic Arctic scenery.
Halfway through the ride, drivers and passengers will switch so everyone has the chance to experience both roles. The snowmobile ride typically covers a distance of 15 to 20 km and lasts around 1.5 to 2 hours, though this can vary depending on weather and trail conditions.
After the ride, unwind in a traditional Sámi-style tent (lavvu) and enjoy a warm meal before returning to Tromsø by bus. The full experience lasts approximately 7 hours, offering both action and comfort in the heart of Arctic Norway.
All drivers must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid driver’s license. Passengers must be at least 7 years old and accompanied by an adult. The tour involves physical activity and is not recommended for those with limited mobility or pregnant participants. All guests should dress in layers under the provided thermal suit. The itinerary may vary depending on weather and snow conditions. A minimum number of participants may be required for the tour to operate. The snowmobile tour is not suitable for children under the age of 7.
