Join Morgedal Aktiv for authentic Telemark experiences in the cradle of skiing! Every Saturday and Sunday from 15 January, we offer guided winter tours featuring campfires, coffee brewing, local history, and unforgettable nature experiences.
Experience true Telemark wilderness with Morgedal Aktiv. Accompanied by a knowledgeable local guide who shares both true and not-so-true stories from the village, we head to one of the surrounding peaks or through beautiful forest landscapes—depending on snow and weather conditions. The tour is relaxed, social, and filled with memorable moments.
We bring a coffee kettle and packed lunch, and along the way we light a campfire and enjoy a warm lunch break together. You may choose to use backcountry skis, touring skis, cross-country skis, or snowshoes. For those seeking a truly unique experience, we also offer handcrafted wooden skis with modern design and bindings.
The tour is suitable for most people with a normal level of fitness who are looking for a warm, friendly, and informal winter mountain experience. For those wanting something extra, the day can be rounded off with spa access and dinner at Morgedal Hotel. Tours run every Saturday and Sunday from 15 January, as long as snow conditions allow.
The tour requires normal physical fitness and the ability to move in winter terrain. Minimum age: 12 years. Dress according to weather and conditions. The activity may be changed or cancelled in case of poor weather.
The meeting point will be provided in the booking confirmation. Please arrive well in advance. Let us know ahead of time if you wish to rent ski equipment or use snowshoes.
