Winters in Norway are all about good food and drinks. Head to Lofoten to experience this unbeatable duo in an exciting degustation trip with Arctic Guide Service. This tour is designed to give guests the authentic taste of Lofoten beer and fish. Spend an evening savouring fish varieties followed by beer tasting at Lofoten’s first microbrewery!
Arrive at the pick-up point at least 5-10 minutes before departure. Your guide for the day is an experienced local who knows Lofoten thoroughly and will share stories about the islands’ past and present. The ride for the evening is a comfortable minivan that will take you to the legendary village of Henningsvær.
As evening sets in, it is time to head to the first degustation stop – a popular fisherman’s restaurant in Henningsvær. The tasting table here includes traditional and modern dishes made of cod, mackerel, and locally produced whale. The show stopper is a world-famous fish soup that follows a secret recipe from 33 years ago and stands unchanged to this day!
After dinner, guests will be taken to the next pit stop – LofotPils, a local brewery and popular beer brand in Lofoten. You get to taste five best-selling beers from the brand, and it doesn’t end here. You will also be taken around the production unit to witness how Lofoten’s hottest drinks are made!
Since this is a winter tour, participants must wear warm clothing and bring accessories if needed.
We recommend you being at the pick-up point 5-10 minutes before departure. Since the tour is
strongly dependant on the light and limited working hours of the fish farm in winter, unfortunately
we can not be waiting for the guests that are late for more than 5 minutes.
Minimum number of participants to conduct the tour is 4 persons
